For over 67 years, the Air Force Aid Society has supported the Air Force mission by providing worldwide emergency assistance, sponsoring education assistance programs and offering an array of base community enhancement programs that improve quality of life for Airmen and their families.

Emergency assistance - Loans/grants given to meet emergency needs in the following areas: emergency travel, food, shelter, utilities, vehicles, funeral expenses for a dependent and in some cases travel to a family member's funeral. Assistance is provided in two forms:

  • Falcon loan- Loan up to $500 for an EMERGENCY need such as food, shelter, utilities, car repair, child care and others. The documentation required is normally limited to an application and LES; however this IS NOT a "no questions asked" loan. A member may receive 2 Falcon Loan in a career, but may only have one at a time.
  • Standard assistance- Assistance provided for emergencies exceeding $500 or otherwise outside the scope of a Falcon Loan. Documentation required will include application with completed budget, LES and documentation demonstrating need (lease, utility bill, auto repair estimate etc.) For assistance related to a vehicle, member must provide valid insurance and registration.
