Patient Library Offers New Services

Three new services await customers visiting the Patient Library while at the Wilford Hall Medical Center.  Play-a-ways are pre-loaded MP3 players with one book on each player, along with a set of ear buds. Small and compact, they can be carried anywhere for listening pleasure. More than 40 titles are available for check-out.

Customers wanting to use their laptop computers can take advantage of the wi-fi connection in the library. Show a military I.D. to get a password for the network.

Wireless Kindle electronic book readers are available for hospitalized patients only. Each little Kindle carries more than 100 titles that can be read with the flip of a switch.

The Patient Library also has public access computers, bestsellers, and books on CD. Located in Room 1C31 near the flower shop at the hospital entrance, it is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 292-6198 for more information.
