Instructors Needed

We are looking for certified aerobic and conditioning instructors. If you
are qualified to teach fitness classes, we've got just the right job for you
with flexible hours and schedules. Call the Warhawk Fitness Center for more details at 671-2751/2016.
Temporary Closures:
- The Gillum Fitness Center women's locker room will be closed due to construction February 2-4.
- The Bennett Fitness Center will be closed next Monday and Tuesday (Feb 1-2) in order to install new cardio and weight equipment.

Family Fitness Hours
Make fitness a family affair when you exercise with your child at the Warhawk and Medina Fitness Centers. We’ve extended the hours available for parent-child workouts for your convenience. Kids ages 7-12 must be accompanied by a parent at all times and are authorized to use the cardio and weight rooms, however, parents must first attend a 15-minute safety and educational class before their child can use the fitness rooms.

Every Monday & Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Chaparral Fitness Center (in the Judo Room). Ages 14 and up.

Chair and Full Body Massages (including deep tissue) are now being offered at the Medina Fitness Center at the Lackland Training Annex. Monday - Friday from 6am - 9pm

Class Descriptions
Beginner Aerobics
Low impact movements performed on and off a step platform with or without risers. This class consists of basic step patterns for the new stepper as well as those who prefer less complicated footwork. Intensity level determined by speed, travel, and execution of movement patterns.
Cardio Aerobics
This cardiovascular-based class is combined with the benefits of resistance training to offer a balanced workout.
Salsa
Cardio workout with a twist. Working the lower body and abdominal muscles, dancing salsa, to a mixture of Latin and Spanish music.
Spinning
Cardio Spin class with cardio intervals on stationary bikes. Bring your outdoor cycling training indoors. Cycling drills are done to music within a group setting.
Step Extra!
This class combines the benefits of cardiovascular, strength and core-based movements mixed up with high and low step combinations to offer a balanced all-around workout. Easily modified to suit your level. All classes are open to male and female at any level.
Turbo Step
Traditional high and low intensity impact movements performed with a step platform. High energy and lots of fun. Aerobics and step put together with great choreograph and music.
Resistance Circuit Training
Develop muscular strength and muscular endurance in a timed intervals performed in a station-to-station manner. Muscles working against resistance in a resistance circuit training class by using free weights, strength machines, small apparatus (like rubber bands) gravity (body weight). Class open to anyone (male and female).
Resistance Power Training
Bodybuilding methods emphasize building muscle mass and definition. Isolate individual muscle groups to develop muscular strength and/or muscular endurance.
Boot Camp
Improve cardiovascular and muscular strength and endurance in a boot-camp style, high energy, muscle pumping, calorie-crushing workout. Easily modified to suit your level.
